The children have been enjoying reading David Walliams books from our class library. They were lucky enough to receive an invitation to a live webinar with David Walliams, where he gave them some tips on how to be creative with their writing and character development. Below are some characters that the children created for their own stories. On the 1st of October we celebrated the feast day of St. Therese of Lisieux, who our school is named after. She is remembered for making a difference in people's lives by doing little deeds of kindness. We have been trying to follow her example by doing little acts of kindness for each other too.
We combined SPHE and Art History to become 'Poetic Picassos'. We hope you enjoy our poems and drawings. The children have been taking part in our class author challenge. Their challenge is to read all the book titles in our class library of a chosen author. Congratulations to Aedan and Amelia who were the first to finish all the Jeff Kinney books, 17 in total!
We have been learning about Irish Myths and Legends. The children have enjoyed stories about the 'Children of Lir' and the 'Tuatha Dé Danann'.
